Purple Bird

Aron survived a smashed finger in the door and is now making offensive gestures to everyone who asks to see it. Aden as his hype man- not helping the situation.

AIA Sandcastle Competition 2013

We were all LMAO'ing during this one.  During our annual event in Galveston, the energetic 4 yr-olds and Mommy's environmentally-conscious jello shots (which the kids helped her make) were the talk of the tent.  The boys were big helpers; Aden was determined to be in the middle of the action.  Everyone had a blast, but boy are we tired.  The summer is definitely here!

Unexpected Mother's Day gift

Sweetly Aden took it upon himself to pamper me this Mothers Day by fanning me while I sat on the couch. Needless to say the M&M dispencer fan he chose gave off inadequate blowing power so he moved the fan closer. Too close in fact and caught the blades in my hair. So for Mothers day I got 1" bangs from having to cut out the fan. Its a very Europen style. I needed a change.
Mommy.  Very Pleased.

All-American Experience

Aron finally was able to experience the singing of the national anthem at their first baseball game. He sang so loud and proud. Aden, I have never seen so well behaved and content. We discovered they love shelling peanuts and eating footlong hot dogs and ice cream out of a ball cap, but who doesn't?

Outlaw Artwork

Yellow highlighters?....Check.
Blank canvas of wall in multiple rooms?....Check.
Art-time?....Absolutely!

They were having a great time up until the second they were busted.  It was an expansive collection, encompassing at least half of the hallway at the top of the stairs.  Fortunately for them...1) the highlighters appeared to run out fluid, 2) Mr. Clean saved the day.  They'll live to create another day...

Disney Cruise

We have returned from our first Disney vacation on the Magic cruise ship down to Cozumel. We had a blast with plenty to do on the ship from pools with slides, movie theaters, live shows, buffets and of course the characters. The first day was at sea. We spent most of the day in the pool. Occasionally we would dry off long enough to have chicken strips brought to us poolside and say 'hi' to a character. By our second character visit Aron was onto the Disney ploy and wanted to know why their was a man in the costume but once he knew he was more open to going up and meeting them. Aden on the other hand was in Mickey heaven. He picked himself up a Mickey doll right away, who immediately made the ranks next to Puppy.

In Cozumel we took a taxi to Chankanaab beach which is a national park with man-made beaches and pint sized lagoons. The boys were able to play on the shore and swim with the fish while mommy and daddy enjoyed cold beer under a cabana. Aden spent much of his time there scouting out iguanas.

On the way back we went back to the pool, partied with pirates, danced with Cinderella and went to a pajama party with Pluto.

All in all much success, however mommy and daddy now need a vacation without so much excitement.

Weekend outtakes:
  •  After ingesting too much sea water, Aron vomits all over Alex who covertly hides himself in a public bathroom so not to create an international incident.
  • Wanting to go to the Men's room solo, Aron spent 15 minutes of quality time alone while mommy waited outside the bathroom until a stranger asked her if she was waiting for someone; possibly a little boy in a red shirt, pooping with the door wide open, yelling for mama to wipe his butt?
  • Aden is too impatient waiting for a show to start and squirming in his chair spills daddy's highball 7/7, and thus daddy spends the entire show liquor-soaked smelling like "that dad!"
